TK Rabii, CASAC-T

My name is TK Rabii. My pronouns are he/him and I’m an individual in recovery from substance use disorder and for mental health. I have my CASAC-T and am the current YMSM (Young Men Who Have Sex with Men) Coordinator at In Our Own Voices, Inc, whose mission is to ensure the physical, mental, spiritual, political, cultural and economic survival and growth of LGBTQ+ POC communities. I have experience working for Ellis Medicine for the past 4 years in outpatient day treatment, crisis diversion, case management, and inpatient services, working with individuals with substance use disorders, mental health diagnoses, and developmental disabilities. I currently hold a position on the board of New Choices Recovery Center and co-lead the up-and-coming RCO, RISE (Recovery in Schenectady Every-Day. My work is inspired by own personal recovery journey, a desire to assist individuals in establishing and maintaining a wellness pathway of their choosing, and a hope that we may all live in a world where we authentically and wholeheartedly care about ourselves and others.
