Eric Kutscher, MD


Eric Kutscher MD is a Fellow in Addiction Medicine at NYU Grossman School of Medicine. He completed his undergraduate degree at Columbia University in History of Public Health and African Studies, and obtained his medical degree from Weill Cornell Medical College. Dr. Kutscher finished an intern year in pediatrics at Mass General for Children, before returning to NYC for residency in internal medicine-primary care at NYU Langone Health/Bellevue Hospital. He has a passion for using medical education reforms to address health disparities through creating a generation of physicians better equipped to care for marginalized and underserved communities, previously developing an elective course Community Perspectives in Medicine and most recently serving as co-director of the Block for Addiction Medicine for the NYU Internal Medicine-Primary Care residency program. His research interests involve the overlap of substance use disorders with vulnerable populations, particularly the LGBT community and previously incarcerated individuals.
